Brigadier General William B. Burdeshaw, USA (Ret.)

For more than twenty years, General Burdeshaw led Burdeshaw Associates, Ltd., assisting over 200 major corporations in translating technology into military concepts and in interpreting military-service requirements.

Recognition of General Burdeshaw's success in this work has come to him personally and also to the company. General Burdeshaw is listed in Who's Who in the East (see second edition). Burdeshaw Associates ranked 121st in a recent list of INC. magazine's "500 Fastest Growing Private Companies". He has served on the boards of Aeronca, Inc., and PAT Equipment of the IBP Group, an international conglomerate. He currently serves as a Director of GNB Industrial Battery Co., a subsidiary of Pacific-Dunlop.

The most significant measures of success, however, are the high percentage of returning clients and the growing numbers of Associates. At this time, there are more than 700 Associates, here and abroad, available to work on study teams on a wide range of topics.

Prior to forming BAL in 1979, General Burdeshaw had served for 26 years in the U.S. Army. He commanded all levels of field artillery units. At Fort Hood, Texas, he was responsible for training and testing tactical organizations for the Army's 1980 divisions and for integrating developing weapon systems with tactics of the modern battlefield. In this final assignment, he managed test and evaluation resources as Deputy Director, Defense Test and Evaluation, for the Department of Defense.

Additionally, General Burdeshaw, a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, holds memberships in ADPA, AFCEA, AUSA, NSIA, SAME, and served as a consultant on the Defense Science Board from 1985-1971.
